Hi, Mike, I actually read the story in the Seattle Times before I found your blog. Thank you for your attention, at the end of the piece, to the idea of ethical photography and behavior with respect to the owls. During our last visit to Boundary Bay, we witnessed some distressing actions by photographers in the marshes. Unfortunately, their pristine in-the-field shots are being rewarded in various publications, which I know fuels the motivation to disregard the signage. This subject has come up for discussion many times among birders and photographers, and I appreciate any effort to explain why it's simply a bad idea to harass the owls.
